From Accademia Isola Classica to NUME

THE EVOLUTION OF A UNIQUE PROJECT

Our love for music and our commitment towards future generations are some of the driving factors broadening our vision, bringing Accademia Isola Classica to a place where we can welcome more artists and a bigger audience, making the festival accessible to everyone. The moment has arrived, where the city of Cortona and the festival meet, bringing Nume - Music Academy and Festival - to life. Nume will still represent the excellency of the previous 4 editions, offering the community one of the most prestigious classical music projects in the world, involving international young talents and artists in one of Tuscany's most iconic and intimate locations.

Cortona is one of Tuscany's most visited towns by people all over the world and has a strong tradition of excellence in cultural activities, making it a dynamic and modern town.

Accademia Isola Classica becomes NUME

4 YEARS OF SUCCESS FOR AN INNOVATIVE CULTURAL IDEA

Accademia Isola Classica & Festival was recognised as one of the world's leading musical projects of its genre that in its 4 years of existence has grown into the territory by enlarging its public, by being sought by artists and students from all over the world, rapidly increasing its international visibility. A new vision of a Festival where you can listen and meet some of the greatest musicians of our times but also to discover emerging young artists which are in the verge of embarking their international careers. Our public can as well witness their work throughout the week, see them perform as soloists and in chamber music alongside the tutors. Our project is sustained thanks to a generous community of sponsors and patrons who invest together with us into the development of the future generations.

A look into the future

MUSIC, ACCESSIBLITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Such rapid movements and satisfying the requests of our participants have brought the necessity to increase our operation radius.

We are now able to host more events, artists, students, as well as benefit from larger venues, capable of receiving a wider range of public. Young people and people with disabilities will be able to participate freely, as well as companies with sensibility towards international cultural visibility.

In the light of these aspects, Cortona and Accademia Isola Classica have found a common ground in which they can build together a new experience which focuses on cultural development and support of the local territory.
